Technical/Hospitality Rider

TAPMAN PRODUCTIONS, LLC TECHNICAL/HOSPITALITY RIDER

1.  Flooring – Producer/Venue must have floor suitable for tap dance.

  • Flooring must be wood – Hard wood, plywood, vinyl imitation wood, masonite, MDF and certain types of vinyl (i.e. marley) are acceptable.
  • A sprung dance floor, i.e. flooring with a negative space or padding underneath to absorb impact, is preferred, but not necessarily required.
  • Concrete, stone, tile, marble, linoleum, rubber, and similar surfaces are unacceptable as they produce poor sound quality and may lead to potential injuries.
  • A portable tap dance floor is available to rent for an additional fee of $150/hour (1 hour minimum).

 

2.  Electrical Requirements

  • Producer/Venue must have easily accessible power outlets.
  • Producer/Venue is requested to supply a grounded, multi-outlet power strip(s) and extension cable(s) suitable for the scope of the performance.  If such equipment is unavailable then it will be provided at no additional fee if notice is given no later than forty-eight (48) hours before the start time of the performance.

 

3.  Sound Requirements

  • Must have a sound system with an input for either 3.5mm audio cable or CD.  If a sound system is unavailable then a P.A. system can be provided for an additional fee of $50.
  • Producer/Venue must provide someone to work the sound, i.e. playing the music and watching/listening for cues when to start and stop the music.  If no one is available a technician can be provided for an additional fee.

 

4.  Hospitality

  • Producer/Venue must provide a contact person or persons that can answer any questions and help coordinate performance logistics.
  • Producer/Venue must provide a space suitable for costume changing.
  • We ask that the Producer/Venue either has accessible water fountains or provide bottled water of one (1) bottle per performer.  If a water fountain or bottled water is absolutely unavailable then notice must be given no later than forty-eight (48) hours before start time of the event.
  • Producer/Venue must provide parking information no later than forty-eight (48) hours before the start time of the performance.
