The Tapmen are dedicated to producing performances that highlight exciting visual elements and touches of comedy while honoring the integrity of tap dance.The Tapmen are available for large and private events, as well as charity benefit performances. The Tapmen also offer customizable workshops for schools and dance studios.
The Tapmen began as a collaborative effort between three Chicago tap dancers, Zada Cheeks, Martin Bronson and Tristan Bruns. Their initial collaboration, “The Train” debuted at the Josh Weckesser Dance Spectacular in the Summer of 2010 and was chosen to perform at the “Best Of Dance Chicago 2010”, the closing performance of the annual Dance Chicago festival.
Under the direction of Artistic Director Tristan Bruns, the Tapmen have grown into an award-winning dance company with the goal is to expose a wide-range of audiences to tap dance.
